Funeral of a young husband here on Monday
Rex Choisser departed this life in DuQuoin last Friday night living only a short time after shooting himself in the head with a revolver, the tragedy occuring in an alley just off West Park Street. Only a few years ago he was married to Miss Verna Logan a Pinckneyville girl. To them was born one son Wayland Thomas. Mr. Choisser and his wife had been separated for several weeks. She having been employed as teacher at West Lynn school. Mrs. Choisser was in DuQuoin Friday evening while in route home to spend the weekend in this city with her mother and little son. While on the street she met Mr. Choisser who threatened to take her life only a short time before he took his own. The remains were brought to this city and taken to the Logan residence where funeral services were held Monday morning. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery. The deceased was born in Eldorado, Illinois, June 17, 1891.
